NTXMA 3rd Annual 4th of July 10 Mile Hump

NTXMA is excited to host our 3nd Annual 4th of July 10 Mile Hump! Veterans, their families and supporters will be walking 10 miles to honor those who have served in US military.

Last summer the number of those who participated increased by 300% from our first year. We anticipate that number of supporters who attend this free event continue to grow.

The purpose is to show support to our veterans and service members. We are also raising funds to assist our partner veteran service organizations complete their missions…supporting our veterans.

The march will kick off at 8:00AM at Mourning Dove Park at 11219 Round Mountain Drive in Frisco. Some of our sponsors include Kroger Foods and Rudy's BBQ.

  • Photos of last year's event can be seen on our facebook page.
  • Donations can be made securely online by clicking below. There are many ways to participate. If you are unsure about walking 10 miles, we are still looking for volunteers and donors.

As always, thank you for all your support and I hope to see you on the 4th of July.

Happy Independence Day!

Veterans Coalition of North Central Texas Annual Luncheon

Date: Thursday, July 31, 2014
Time: 1130-1400
Location: To Be Announced

Last year the Veterans Coalition of North Central Texas (VCNCT) hosted a "Joint County Meeting: Veteran Service Organization County Forum." The Coalition called leaders and Veteran Service Organizations (VSO's) from Tarrant, Denton, Collin, and Dallas County. Given that there are roughly 330,000 Military men and women in the DFW area, it is critical that all VSO's are informed, organized, and working together to better serve our Military families. Working together benefits each organization, County, and Military family.

This year the North Texas Military Association is hosting this regional meeting in Collin Country. A panel discussion and exhibitor's booths will be present for Military Families to learn more about the resources available to them. This ever expanding coalition is a regional and a state model of how to effectively network and serve Military families, how to engage and to better educate the civilian community, and how to support and participate in each others individual events throughout the Counties.

This year's venue will be announced soon. Several wonderful and centrally located Collin County options have been suggested and we are in the process of making a final selection. We anticipate over 100 attendees to include registered Coalition Members and County partners, exhibitors' booths regarding county resources and Military Family members.

Updates will be made both on our events page and our facebook page. Like us today to keep up with all our exciting events.
